Ryan is known by the kids as “SabunimG”. He has over a decade of teaching experience and 15 years of martial arts training. Ryan has earned a second degree black belt in a mixed martial arts style and is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Fabio Araujo. Of his many accomplishments, in and out of the ring, Ryan is most proud of his role as “Dad” to his 9 year old daughter Yasmine. Ryan takes great pride in working to help people of all ages and abilities achieve their goals. Ryan is respected in the community and has earned a great amount of trust and admiration. He always has a great time working with the children, and is happy to have the opportunity to spread the amazing benefits of martial arts, fitness, and fun.

Sarah

Kickboxing Instructor

Sarah is a First Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and has been practicing martial arts for nearly 10 years and has a Kickboxing Certification from A-1 Fitness Center. She is passionate about Kickboxing, Yoga, and Pilates and teaching Kickboxing is her way of incorporating all of these disciplines into one. Her classes focus on cardiovascular exercise, posture and form, breathing, and stretching. Sarah’s classes offer increasing levels of challenge for your body as your muscles adapt in strength and memory. Outside of A-1, Sarah is an elementary school special education teacher with a special interest in teaching reading, writing, and learning through movement to children with special needs.

Jaime Cella

Tumbling & Gymnastics Instructor

With over 25 years of experience in gymnastics as both an athlete and coach, Jaime has worked with children of all ages and skill level. Her own gymnastics career started at 5 years old and continued into college. In high school, she was named to  Connecticut’s All-State team 3 years in a row and the All-American team for 2 years. Due to injury, her career ended short of her senior year of college when she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice.

Although she could no longer compete, her deep love and respect for the sport keeps her coaching. She truly enjoy helping children succeed. She has worked with hundreds of children over the past decade and looks forward to working with yours!
